Tyler Knierim

Associate Biologist - Deputy Project Manager at WEST

Tyler Knierim is an experienced Associate Biologist at WEST, Inc. since June 2020, specializing in wildlife monitoring and field research, including post-construction wildlife fatality monitoring at wind facilities in Iowa and sharp-tailed grouse studies in South Dakota. Prior experience includes roles as a Middle School Science Teacher at Bright Future International Training & Services and as a Graduate Student involved in the Bungarus Project at Suranaree University of Technology. Earlier positions feature a Field Technician role at the Sakaerat Environmental Research Station and an internship focused on education and conservation at the Bald Head Island Conservancy. Tyler holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Biology with a focus on herpetology from Suranaree University of Technology and dual Bachelor's degrees in Animal Ecology and Environmental Studies from Iowa State University.
