Clara Mooney

Substitute Teacher Grades K-8 at West Irondequoit Central School District

Clara Mooney is an experienced educator and behavior specialist with a diverse background in teaching and social-emotional support. Currently serving as a substitute teacher for grades K-8 at West Irondequoit Central School District since May 2022, Clara has also worked as a behavior specialist at the YMCA of Greater Rochester, where skills in building positive relationships and developing personalized behavioral strategies were utilized. Clara's experience as a naturalist teacher with the National Audubon Society allowed for the creation of engaging educational environments for young campers, while previous roles as a certified yoga instructor at SUNY Geneseo and an imaginarium ambassador highlight a commitment to inclusivity and sustainability.
