Kenneth Bernardo has an extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Kenneth is currently working as a Principal Engineer in R&D Design Verification at West Pharmaceutical Services, where they manage design verification activities for a specific injection system platform.
Prior to this, Kenneth worked at Stryker as a Staff Engineer in Research and Development, where they led cross-functional teams in developing and launching vascular products through design verification and validation. Kenneth also played a key role in product quality by completing FMEA, MSA, GR&R, and validations and directing root cause analysis on device, test, and process failures.
Before their role at Stryker, Kenneth worked at Boeing in different positions, including Materials and Processes Engineer 3 (Lead/SME), Materials and Processes Engineer 2, and Materials and Processes Engineer 1. In these positions, they specialized in composites/non-metallic materials and processes engineering, specifically in the areas of paints, coatings, abrasives, solvents, and surface preparation processes. Kenneth also worked on developing material and process specifications for aircraft production, managing erosion prevention programs, and identifying areas for improvement in aircraft production/assembly operations.
Throughout their career, Kenneth has gained expertise in material testing, corrosion control, and mechanical testing of polymer materials and adhesive bonded joints. Kenneth has also demonstrated leadership skills by training new engineers and managing technical programs through various stages.
Kenneth Bernardo attended the University of Florida from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Engineering. In addition to their formal education, they have acquired certifications in Generative AI Overview for Project Managers from the Project Management Institute and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from The Council for Six Sigma Certification.
