Wali Wahidi has held several high-level positions in various companies. Wali started their career at Sigma-Aldrich in 1997, where they worked as a Network Analyst, implementing network infrastructure and establishing the company's first Internet gateway. Wali later became the Global Network Manager, overseeing global security and implementing VoIP and Call Center solutions. In 2013, following the acquisition of Sigma-Aldrich by Merck KGaA, Wali served as the Head of Infrastructure Services & Cyber Security Operations, responsible for post-merger technology integration across Global Infrastructure and Security Operations. In 2017, they joined MilliporeSigma as the Head of Global IT Infrastructure Technology, leading mission-critical technology projects and managing global data centers. Wali also served as the Interim Life Science CIO, advising executive leadership on technology trends and managing IT Life Science employees. Currently, Wali is working at West Pharmaceutical Services as the Vice President of Cybersecurity, Infrastructure & Site Support.
Wali Wahidi holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering from Kabul University. Wali also obtained a Diploma in Computer Programming from the Computer Learning Center. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including Azure Active Directory: Basics, Practical Software-Defined Networking: 1 SDN and OpenFlow Quick Start, Creating Your IT Strategy, Digital Transformation, Decoding Body Language, Improving Your Listening Skills, and Leading without Formal Authority, all from LinkedIn. These certifications were obtained in the year 2020.
