Job description

Be a part of the initial team to grow and operate a regionally significant new underground mine development that is rapidly becoming the future of the iconic Red Lake gold mining district in Ontario, Canada.

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor or designate, Instrumentation Technician works safely to maintain the site’s electrical distribution systems and fixed support facilities equipment maintenance. The successful candidate will work 2 week on and 2 week off rotation while following safe work procedures to provide overall production and safe target support for the Red Lake Madsen Mine team.

The focus of this role will include:

  • Follow safe working practices and site safety guidelines

  • Install, service, maintain, and upgrade measuring and control devices and systems

  • Implement and execute long range instrumentation maintenance plans

  • Troubleshot control systems

  • Assist with developing operating practices and procedures

  • Prepare work progress reports

  • Liaise with Maintenance Planner for work planning

  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Experience in an apprenticeship program

  • 3-5 years’ experience in control systems

  • Proven ability to follow safe work practices

  • Ability to work independently

  • Excellent proven team player approach to work
