The mission of the West Suburban Special Recreation Association is to provide superior recreation services for persons with disabilities.

The West Suburban Special Recreation Association is formed by 9 park districts and 2 villages who work together to serve the recreation needs of their residents who have disabilities.Through WSSRA, residents of all ages can participate in year round programming specifically designed to meet their individual needs. Residents of partner communities who have a disability or handicapping condition are eligible for WSSRA services. Services are available for preschoolers, school aged children, teens, young adults and senior citizens that live in the following partner communities:

The Recreation Team at the West Suburban Special Recreation Association is responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing a variety of recreational programs tailored to individuals with disabilities.
