Deana F. Morrow

Deana F. Morrow is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in social work education. Currently serving as the Director and Professor at the School of Social Work at West Virginia University since July 2017, Morrow previously held positions at Winthrop University, including Department Chair, Professor, and Associate Dean in the College of Arts and Sciences, and served from January 2006 to May 2017. Earlier, Morrow was an Associate Professor and MSW Coordinator at UNC Charlotte from August 1998 to December 2005, and before that was the Program Director at Warren Wilson College from August 1993 to June 1998. Morrow holds a PhD in Counselor Education from North Carolina State University, an MSW and a Certificate in Gerontology from The University of Georgia, and an MA in Education with a focus on Counseling from Western Carolina University.
