West Virginia University
Edward Flagg is an Associate Professor of Physics at West Virginia University since January 2013, previously serving as an Assistant Professor. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Joint Quantum Institute at the University of Maryland & NIST, where research focused on the quantum indistinguishability of single photons emitted by semiconductor quantum dots in microcavities from October 2008 to December 2012. Additionally, Edward Flagg was a Research Assistant at the University of Texas at Austin from 2002 to 2008, conducting research in quantum optics and cavity quantum electrodynamics under Chih-Kang (Ken) Shih, including the first observation of strongly driven resonance fluorescence in a solid-state system. Edward Flagg holds a Ph.D. in Physics from The University of Texas at Austin (2008) and a BS in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2001).
