Pooja Kasturi

Pooja Kasturi is a Graduate Research Assistant at West Virginia University, with ongoing studies towards a PhD in Chemical Engineering. Previously, Pooja served as Vice President of the IIChE OUCT Student Chapter and completed a mini-project at Deccan Fine Chemicals Pvt. Limited, focusing on simulation studies for the absorption and recovery of Freon Gas (R22). Pooja gained experience through a summer internship at the Nuclear Fuel Complex, Department of Atomic Energy, India, where studies and designs for heat exchanger devices for process gas cooling were conducted. Additionally, Pooja completed Six Sigma Yellow Belt training, acquiring foundational knowledge in Six Sigma and lean manufacturing practices. Pooja holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from Osmania University.
