Alan Reiss

Alan Reiss is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at West Yorkshire Combined Authority, supporting the Mayor and overseeing Policing, Strategy, Research, and Communications. Previously, Alan held various roles within government departments, including as Chief Executive and Chief of Staff at Durham Police, Crime and Victims' Commissioner, and as Deputy Director in both the Department for Education and Department of Health. Alan also has experience in leading policy teams and developing legislation, particularly in the areas of childcare reform and school funding policy. With a background in International Relations and Politics, Alan has demonstrated a strong commitment to public service and policy development throughout their career.
