Joseph Carbone, MD, FAPA has an extensive work experience in the medical field. Joseph has worked as an Assistant Professor at New York Medical College, where they mentored MPH students and conducted research. Joseph also served as an Instructor of Neurology at the same institution. Dr. Carbone has also worked at the Westchester Institute For Human Development, where they practiced Developmental Neuropsychiatry and served as the Medical Director. Joseph has also held positions at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, American Psychiatric Association, The Carbone-Beale Neuroscience Institute, and Four Winds Hospital, where they had roles such as Clinical Assistant Professor, Fellow, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Scientific Officer, and Co-Program Medical Director. Dr. Carbone has also contributed their expertise in the New York Guard as a Major and Chief of Medical Services. Throughout their career, they have been involved in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents.
Joseph Carbone, MD, FAPA completed their undergraduate education at Manhattanville College, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Russian. Joseph then attended New York Medical College, where they obtained their MD degree in Medicine. In addition to their medical education, Dr. Carbone has obtained additional certifications, including Conflicts of Interest from the CITI Program. Joseph is also a Diplomate in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry from the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties and in Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc.
