Ursula L. Wright serves as Senior Vice President at WestEd, contributing to the executive leadership team and overseeing a service vertical focused on enhancing coherence and equity in K-12 systems through the integration of policy, research, and educator practice. Prior experience includes serving as Managing Director for Education & Youth Practice at FSG, where strategic support was provided for social change initiatives across various sectors. Additionally, Ursula held several prominent roles within the U.S. Department of Education and the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools, including positions as Associate Assistant Deputy Secretary and Chief Operating Officer. A diverse background in leadership positions within publicly traded and private corporations prior to entering the education sector equipped Ursula with expertise in strategy development, corporate finance, marketing, and operations. Ursula holds a BA in Economics from Spelman College, an MBA in Business Strategy and Finance from Northwestern University, and additional education credentials from Georgetown University and Harvard Graduate School of Education.
