George Wang

Director Product Strategy at Westell Technologies

George Wang has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. George began their career as a student at Tampere University of Technology, where they studied from 1990 to 1993. After completing their education, they joined Tellabs in 1993 as a Sr. Software Design Engineer, contributing to the development and deployment of the Network Management System (NMS). George later worked as a Business Development Manager, where they found new revenue opportunities for Managed Access System in America and managed projects for implementation.

In 2002, George joined Loop Telecom International as the Director of the America Tech Center, responsible for marketing and sales in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Central America markets. George also served as the President and General Manager of the LOOP subsidiary in Suzhou, China, where they successfully built and managed a team that developed a prototype for a nation-wide network.

In 2015, George joined Westell as the Director of Product Strategy, where they were responsible for driving the product vision, direction, and management of the TMA product line. George'srole included strategic planning, product planning, new product introduction, and market promotion.

Most recently, in 2017, George joined Pivotone as the Director of the North America Region. Further details about their role at Pivotone are not provided.

George Wang has a PhD in Computer Science from Tampere University of Technology, which they obtained between the years 1965 and 2018. Prior to that, they pursued a BSC&MSc in Electrical Engineering at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.
