Marco Orunesu Preiata

Mr Orunesu Preiata joined Western Areas in 2008 as Geotechnical Engineer at Forrestania Nickel Operation and, after was appointed Forrestania Planning and Geotechnical Manager, transferred to the West Perth office as the Group Mining Engineer in 2015, and is now General Manager Technical Services since 2020.

Mr Orunesu Preiata is a mining engineer with a PhD in Rock Mechanics and more than 20 years of industry experience in various commodities, companies in technical, operational and management positions.

Mr Orunesu Preiata is also a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy.
