Krishnamurthy Dhakshinamurthy

Krishnamurthy Dhakshinamurthy is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in engineering, currently serving as the Senior Director of System Design Engineering at Western Digital since April 2021. Dhakshinamurthy's expertise includes system/product engineering across architecture, ASIC, firmware, and hardware, having successfully led teams in the release of various products for both retail and OEM/client segments. Previous roles include Director of SSD at Micron Technology, where a PCIe-NVMe SSD product was developed, and Director of System Design Engineering at Western Digital, overseeing the design and development of SATA SSDs, SD/microSD, and USB products. Earlier experience includes a Technical Lead position at HCL Technologies, focusing on FPGA verification for avionic systems, and as a Scientist SD at VSSC, ISRO, where a RISC SPARCV8 microprocessor was prototyped. Krishnamurthy holds a Master of Engineering in Avionics from Anna University Chennai and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University.
