Manish Makkar

Manish Makkar is an accomplished engineering leader currently serving as Director of ASIC Development Engineering at Western Digital since September 2012, where responsibilities include leading systemC/Virtual Prototyping model-based firmware development and the establishment of ASIC and media modeling teams. Prior experience encompasses roles at Cadence Design Systems, where significant contributions were made as a member of the consulting staff, particularly in accurate delay calculation and library characterization. Manish also held a Sr. Software Engineer position at HP, where contributions were made to the HP-UX operating system, and began a career at IBM as a software engineer focused on the Datalink filesystem for DCE-DFS. Educational background includes a Master of Computer Applications from Banaras Hindu University and an MBA in International Business from Amity University.
