Muqing Liu is a skilled engineer with extensive experience in research and development, particularly in hardware design and security applications. Currently serving as a Research and Development Engineer at Western Digital since November 2020, Muqing previously worked as a Hardware Developer at IBM and held a position as a Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota, where notable projects included developing a readout circuit design for a 3D NAND flash-ready convolutional neural network core and designing a lightweight neuromorphic core. Additional experience includes an internship at imec focused on hardware accelerator design for LSTM neural networks, and research assistant roles at Columbia University and Tongji University, where significant contributions were made in catalysis and aerogel material production. Muqing holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Minnesota, a Master's degree from Columbia University, and a Bachelor's degree from Tongji University.
