Xiaofeng Harman

Xiaofeng Harman is a Principal Engineer at Western Digital since January 2023, having previously held the same title at WD, a Western Digital company from July 2009 to September 2017, where innovations in recording media processes were developed and transferred to manufacturing while monitoring production performance through statistical process control. Prior experience includes serving as a Sr. Staff Engineer, focusing on product efficiency and production process optimization, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota, where contributions included the design of magnetic tunnel junctions for spintronic processors and the development of highly sensitive biosensors. An early role as a Research Intern at Seagate Technology involved demonstrating an advanced memory device. Xiaofeng Harman holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Minnesota, a Master's degree from the National University of Singapore, and a Bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University in Materials Science and Engineering.
