Courtney Sweiss

KU Evans Scholars Chapter President at Western Golf Association/Evans Scholars Foundation

Courtney Sweiss has a diverse work experience. Courtney currently serves as a Teaching Assistant for BSAN 310 (Introduction to Business Analytics) at The University of Kansas School of Business. Courtney has also held leadership positions, including President of KU Women in Finance and Membership Coordinator for the same organization. Courtney'sresponsibilities in these roles involved networking with professionals, developing recruitment strategies, and organizing social events.

Courtney has also worked as the Vice President of Finance for the Western Golf Association/Evans Scholars Foundation at KU, where they managed financial decisions, collected dues and fines, and created budgets. Additionally, they have experience as a Honor Caddie at Edgewood Valley Country Club, assisting golfers and training new caddies.

In terms of internships, Courtney worked as a Wealth Management COO Intern at TIAA, analyzing regulatory disclosures and researching competitors' practices. Courtney also served as an Office Assistant at COUNTRY Financial®, handling calls, maintaining files, and scheduling meetings. Lastly, Courtney worked as the Philanthropy Chairperson for the Western Golf Association/Evans Scholars Foundation, organizing fundraising events for various charities. Courtney also had a brief experience as a Hostess at SUSHI THAIME, INC., managing cash registers and providing customer service.

Courtney Sweiss attended Reavis High School from 2017 to 2021, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Courtney is currently studying Finance at The University of Kansas School of Business and is expected to graduate in 2025.
