Joey Harris, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Joey is currently serving as the Director of Financial Operations & Business Analytics at Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Budget and Financial Management at PORTAGE, COUNTY OF from May 2021 to November 2022, where they managed and enforced a $250 million annual budget. Joey also held the position of Assistant Finance Director at the City of Barberton from March 2018 to May 2021, where they played a crucial role in the preparation of the City's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and the annual independent audit. Before transitioning into the public sector, they worked as an Auditor at Charles E. Harris & Associates from May 2016 to March 2018. In addition, they have experience in commissioned sales roles at Saks Fifth Avenue, Dillard's Inc., and Macy's, and also served as a Certified Formalwear Consultant at Tuxedo Junction.

Joey Harris, MBA, completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Finance from The University of Akron. Joey pursued this degree from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Finance with a focus on International Business from the same institution, from 2011 to 2015.

Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging

Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA) is a private non-profit corporation, organized and designated by the State of Ohio to be the planning, coordinating and administrative agency for federal and state aging programs in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Medina Counties. It is one of twelve Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) in the state organized together with local service provider organizations and the Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) to form the state's public aging services network. The network works together to develop systems of long-term services and supports (LTSS); and to create opportunities for older Ohioan's to receive them and to age successfully in their own homes and communities. The Agency is also involved in a number of special projects created in response to identified needs and opportunities. Those projects include helping LTC consumers better transition between care settings and empowering them to assume more responsibility for their health and wellness through prevention and disease self-management; and working with the VA to assist veterans with dementia.
