Ellen Brackenreg

Ellen Brackenreg has extensive work experience in leadership roles at Western Sydney University. From 2016 to 2020, they served as the Executive Director of Equity Diversity Safety and Wellbeing, providing strategic leadership in these areas. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2020, they were the Executive Director of Student Services, where they implemented initiatives such as omni-channel service delivery and streamlined data collection. From 2016 to 2017, they held the role of Executive Director of Student Participation and Success, overseeing various programs and services aimed at promoting student wellbeing and success. Before joining Western Sydney University, Ellen held senior leadership roles where they achieved significant milestones, including developing a sector-leading Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy and establishing a dedicated team and policy for mental health and wellbeing.

Ellen Brackenreg has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Western Australia. Ellen also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Deakin University. Additionally, they have completed a Governance program at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
