Michael Edye

Michael Edye is a distinguished academic and medical professional currently serving as the Professor of Surgery and Chair of Surgery at Western Sydney University since January 2013, where responsibilities include coordination of teaching and research at the Blacktown Mount Druitt Clinical School. Previously, Michael Edye held the position of Professor of Surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine from September 2003 to December 2012 and served as Attending Surgeon at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York from February 1993 to December 2012, specializing in innovative techniques for minimally invasive abdominal surgery. Additionally, Michael Edye directed Minimally Invasive Surgery at NYU Medical Center from August 1999 to August 2004. Michael Edye holds an MB, BS degree in Medicine from the University of Sydney, obtained between 1971 and 1976, and completed secondary education at Shore School in Sydney, Australia, from 1962 to 1970.
