Francesca Cannizzo currently serves as a Senior Ecologist at Westervelt Ecological Services, where responsibilities include developing and implementing biological and ecological surveys to assess natural resources on conservation lands in the southern San Joaquin Valley. Prior to this role, Francesca held several positions including Campus Biologist at the University of California, Merced, and Environmental Planner at Caltrans. Experience also encompasses work as an Endangered Species Recovery Program Field Biologist at California State University, Stanislaus, Biological Science Technician for the National Park Service, and Wildlife Research Assistant at the US Fish and Wildlife Service. Early career involvement includes an internship as a Desert Tortoise Intern with the U.S. Geological Survey. Francesca earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Management and Protection from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
