Mario Jarvis is an experienced educator and diversity professional with a diverse background in tutoring, coaching, and human resources management. Currently serving as a Math Specialist at Bloomfield College since September 2012, Mario provides academic support to college freshmen, including adult learners. In addition, Mario tutors high school students in SAT math preparation at Westfield Area Y and conducts private tutoring for high school and middle school students through Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions. Previous roles include serving as a Professional Tutor for ESL at Union County College and coaching minority male students in the CHAMPS Program. Mario's earlier career involved various leadership positions at Lucent Technologies and AT&T Bell Laboratories, focusing on diversity initiatives, talent acquisition, and compensation management, complemented by a BS in Mechanical Engineering from New York University.
