Jakob Jones

Jakob Jones has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity, starting in 2010. Jakob began their career at the Utah Army National Guard, where they held multiple roles, including Information Security/Defensive Cyber Operations and Information Security/Information Assurance Manager. In these positions, they managed NIST RMF accreditation, conducted cyber incident response and vulnerability assessments, and created and maintained various security policies and training programs.

In 2017, Jones joined Secuvant Security Services as a Senior Security Engineer before moving to Nu Skin Enterprises in 2018 as a Senior Security Engineer. At Nu Skin Enterprises, they designed and built the Security Operations Center Splunk environment and collaborated with cross-functional teams to ingest and parse data from multiple sources. Additionally, they built custom SOAR apps to integrate playbooks for threat response, reducing the workload.

Most recently, Jones joined Westfield as a Lead Security Operations Engineer in 2023.

Jakob Jones attended Salt Lake Community College from 2006 to 2007, studying Design and Visual Communications. Jakob also obtained various certifications in the field of Information Technology, including CEH, CHFI, CISSP, CCNA, CCENT, and Security+. Additionally, they received education from the National Guard Professional Education Center, although specific details about the duration and field of study are not available.
