Carl Adamsson

Carl Adamsson currently serves as Product Technical Manager for BWR Fuel Technology and holds the position of Principal Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company since May 2019. With prior experience as a Specialist in BWR Thermal Hydraulics at Vattenfall and a Scientist at Paul Scherrer Institut, Carl has focused on research and development of nuclear systems behavior and safety analysis for light water reactors. Earlier in Carl's career, significant contributions were made in the development of advanced methods for dryout prediction as a Senior Engineer at Westinghouse and as a PhD student at KTH, where studies centered on the dryout phenomenon in BWR reactors. Carl's academic credentials include a PhD in Nuclear Reactor Technology from KTH and a Master of Science in Engineering Physics from Uppsala University.
