Tom Janssens

Tom Janssens has extensive work experience in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industry. Tom started their career as a Senior Process Engineer at Shell in 1995 and later worked as a Senior Commercial Consultant Gas at the same company from 1998 to 2000. In 2002, they joined McKinsey & Co as a Partner, specializing in advising clients on operational performance and strategy in the oil and gas sector. Tom worked at McKinsey for 13 years before joining Westlake Chemical Partners (WLKP) as Principal Operating Officer in 2021. At Westlake, they held various leadership roles, including SVP Operations & Corporate Logistics and VP Olefins, Feedstocks & Energy. Tom also served as a Board Member at LACC from 2021 to 2022 and at Shriram Axiall Pvt Ltd from 2017 to 2020.

Tom Janssens has a degree in Chemical Engineering (Ir/Msc) from Eindhoven University of Technology. Tom also holds an MBA degree with a focus on Finance and Economics from the University of Chicago.
