Melissa Hunt-Sampey

Melissa Hunt-Sampey currently serves as the President Pro-Tem and City Councilwoman for the City of Westland, where responsibilities include presiding over council meetings, collaborating with city administration on agendas, and managing various legislative tasks such as approving the city budget and enacting ordinances. In addition, Melissa has extensive experience in communications, having worked as a Freelance Communications and Web Consultant for Henry Ford Health System, focusing on content management for the Epic employee website, and as Communications Lead for the All of Us Research Program’s Trans America Consortium. Previous roles include Media Planner at Starcom MediaVest Group and Senior Market Communications Consultant at Henry Ford Health System, along with earlier positions in marketing and communications. Melissa holds a B.S. in Public Relations from Eastern Michigan University.
