Jason Barrett

Jason Barrett has extensive experience in the field of Information Technology. Jason is currently working as the IT Director at WestLand Engineering & Environmental Services, where they are responsible for modernizing the company's infrastructure and leading the migration of key infrastructure to the Cloud. Prior to this, Jason worked at M3 Engineering & Technology Corp. for over 25 years, serving as the IT/MIS Manager and managing a budget of over $2 million annually. Jason also worked at CDI Corporation as a Network Administrator, where they successfully modernized data systems for M3 Engineering & Technology Corp. and was later hired as a full-time employee. Jason's career in IT began at Harry's Business Machines, Inc., where they served as a Sales Associate and Network Technician, analyzing customer needs, selling appropriate solutions, and providing technical support. Before entering the IT field, Jason was the Executive Director of Administration at the Nevada Policy Research Institute (NPRI), where they managed various responsibilities including office management, IT, and publication editing.

Jason Barrett attended the University of Nevada, Reno from 1992 to 1994 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Jason majored in Business Management with a minor in Computer Information Systems (CIS/MIS). Before that, from 1990 to 1992, they attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, with a major in Military History and a Computer Science Engineering Track. However, they resigned prior to graduation in 1994.

In addition to their formal education, Jason Barrett has obtained several certifications from Microsoft including Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Professional + Internet (MCP+I), and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
