Jim Tress

Exec. Director Environmental Services at WestLand Engineering & Environmental Services

Jim Tress has a diverse work experience in the field of environmental consulting and project management. Jim started their career in 1983 as a Teaching Assistant at Arizona State University. From 1985 to 1987, they worked at SWCA Environmental Consultants as a Project Ecologist and then as a Field Operations Manager. In 1988, they became a Project Manager and Consulting Ecologist at the same company. In 1993, they joined SWCA's Tucson office as the Regulatory and Biological Services Director, overseeing the administrative services group and working as a Project Manager. In 1997, they co-founded WestLand Resources, an engineering and environmental consulting firm, where they currently serve as the President/CEO. In this role, they are responsible for all phases of development and implementation of environmental consulting services offered by the firm.

Jim Tress' education history includes earning a Bachelor's degree in Biology-Chemistry from Northern Arizona University in an unspecified year between 1981 and the present. Jim then went on to receive a Master of Natural Science (MNS) degree in Plant Ecology from Arizona State University, completing their studies in 1986.
