Jonathan Barnett

Jonathan Barnett is an experienced professional in the oil and gas industry with a career spanning over four decades. Currently serving as Operating Partner at Westlawn since November 2021, Jonathan focuses on long-term investments in the global oil and gas sector. Prior to this role, Jonathan was the Chief Operating Officer at Salamander Solutions Inc. from March 2017 to November 2021. Jonathan's extensive tenure at Shell lasted from May 1981 to February 2017, culminating in several managerial roles, including Technology Opportunity Manager for Unconventionals, where responsibilities included the development of key technologies for heavy oil extraction. Jonathan's expertise also encompasses management of significant drilling projects and investments in both oil shale and coal development. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering with a petroleum focus from The University of Alabama.
