Sophia Chan

Sophia Chan is a dedicated undergraduate student at Westmont College pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Currently serving as a Chemistry Lab Teaching Assistant, Sophia has experience in Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, and Biochemistry labs. As Colloquium Manager, Sophia efficiently organizes weekly programs and ensures their smooth operation. Previous roles include General Chemistry Teaching Assistant, where Sophia facilitated Peer Led Team Learning sessions, and a Summer Research Student. In the summer of 2024, Sophia will be an NSF REU Fellow at New York University, conducting research in Martin Tomanik's lab. Additionally, Sophia performed as an Orchestral Musician on the violin at the Aspen Music Festival and School in 2023.
