Cherise Chin's work experience starts in 2004 with their role as a Consultant in the Graduate Program at Unisys, where they worked on various business process outsourcing and systems integration projects. In 2008, they served as an Opportunity Manager at Spark Digital NZ and also worked as a Product Owner and Product Manager at NZ Post. Cherise then joined Claranet as a Commercial Manager, where they focused on bid management, compliance, and legal support. From 2011 to 2014, Cherise worked as a Senior Commercial Manager at Level 3 Communications, managing high-value UK government contracts. Cherise later joined Spark New Zealand and held roles such as Service Designer, CX Coach, and Domain Lead. In 2020, Cherise started working at Genesis, where they served as a Customer Journey Manager, responsible for shaping the customer vision and strategy for digital and new services. Currently, they are employed at Westpac New Zealand as the Head of Enterprise Design, overseeing the design strategy and direction to meet customer outcomes and regulatory requirements.

Cherise Chin has a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Information Science and Marketing Management, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Design Studies, from the University of Otago.
