Hamish King

Hamish King has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several companies. Hamish is currently working at Westpac New Zealand as the Head of Product Engineering. Prior to this role, they held the position of Chief Experience Officer - Engineering (Consumer), Tech Area Lead, and Senior Manager of Engineering at the same company.

Before joining Westpac, Hamish worked at Schroders as a Product Owner / Agile Coach. Hamish played a key role in leading a technology transformation program, launching agile teams, and delivering agile training to employees and stakeholders. Hamish also designed a global target operating model for the organization.

Earlier in their career, Hamish worked at IMX Software as a Product Owner for the retail Point-of-Sale application and as a Senior Business Analyst on the wholesale trading platform. Hamish also worked at ANZ as a Technical Business Analyst and Application Lead, and at Object Consulting as a Senior Consultant.

Hamish began their career at Stargate Global Consulting as a Technical Business Analyst and at Datacom as a Business Analyst. Overall, Hamish King's experience includes roles in product engineering, agile coaching, business analysis, and project management.

Hamish King obtained a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration degree in Information Systems and International Business from Victoria University of Wellington between 2005 and 2007. Hamish has also acquired various certifications including Certified Agile Leadership II, Certified Agile Leadership, Professional Scrum Master I & II, SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM), SAFe Agilist, SAFe Program Consultant (SPC4), and Certified Scrum Master.
