Melanie Ilich

Melanie Ilich is an experienced HR professional currently serving as the Head of Employee Experience at Westpac New Zealand since October 2020. Prior to this, Melanie held various leadership roles at Air New Zealand from 2006 to 2020, including Head of People - Engineering and Business Performance, where significant business transformations were executed. Melanie successfully led HR teams in high-complexity environments, focusing on employee engagement, talent development, and the execution of HR strategies across multiple business areas. Earlier career positions include HR Manager roles at Television New Zealand and Norske Skog. Melanie holds a Bachelor of International Communications from Unitec and completed the Corporate Leadership Council - HR Academy program from 2010 to 2011.
