Chris McCanles

Chris McCanles has a diverse work experience in the audio visual and technology industry. Starting in 1992, they worked as a Stagehand/Audio Engineer at IATSE Local #18 and later became an Audio Engineer at Clearwing Productions. In 1993, they owned Showpilot. From 1997 to 2013, they founded and served as President of Terra Nova Integrated Systems. In 2013, they became an Independent Account Executive at Pinnaca, a provider of visual communication technologies and services. Chris then joined SKC in 2015 as an Account Executive before it was acquired by AVI-SPL in 2021, where they continued their role until 2023. Currently, they serve as the Director of Audio Visual at Westphal & Company, Inc., leading a new AV systems practice within the company's technology division.

Chris McCanles attended Marquette University from 1988 to 1993, where they studied Journalism and Technical Theater. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Wauwatosa East High School from 1982 to 1986. In addition to their formal education, Chris obtained the AVI-SPL Microsoft Teams Training (Sales) certification from Empowering.Cloud in May 2023.
