Scott Baker has a diverse work experience in the engineering and alternative fuel industry. Scott started their career at BC Gas as an Engineer in 1996. Scott then moved on to Westport Innovations, where they worked as an Application Engineer, leading a team in the development of High Pressure Direct Injection natural gas technology for commercial vehicles. In 2003, they joined Cummins Westport Inc. as a Director of Product and Market Planning, responsible for planning future product development programs for spark-ignited natural gas engines. In 2014, they returned to Westport Fuel Systems and held various roles, including Senior Director of Product Planning & Management, Chief Engineer of Fuel Supply Systems, and Senior Director of Purchasing & Supply Chain. Scott later became the General Manager & Vice President of the HPDI Business and the VP of Engineering & GM of Vancouver Operations at Westport Fuel Systems. Throughout their career, they demonstrated leadership, technical expertise, and a strong focus on alternative fuel technology.
Scott Baker earned their B.A.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of British Columbia between 1991 and 1996.
