Eddy Chinyama

Eddy Chinyama is an experienced mobile plant mechanic currently employed at WesTrac Cat since October 2023. Prior to this role, Eddy worked as a field technician at Barrick Gold Corporation from June 2022 to November 2023 and held the position of technical support specialist and HER technician at First Quantum Minerals from January 2017 to June 2022, where responsibilities included daily machine inspections, technical support, and engine repairs on various heavy machinery. Eddy's career began as a heavy-duty technician at E&sk Technologies in late 2016, following a role as a student trainee at First Quantum Minerals. Eddy's educational background includes a bachelor's degree in economics and finance from Information and Communications University, a diploma in financial trading investment from Shaw Academy College, and a technician qualification in heavy equipment repair from Northern Technical College. Eddy also holds a grade twelve certificate in Biology/Biological Sciences from Meheba High School.
