Doug Sharo

Doug Sharo is an experienced professional in sustainability and analytics, currently serving as Senior Manager of Reporting & Analytics at WestRock Company since July 2015. In this role, Doug leads the development of the company’s sustainability report and climate disclosures, including the annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory in accordance with the GHG Protocol. Previously, Doug held positions at WestRock as Senior Program Manager and Manager of Sustainability, where responsibilities included developing and implementing the global sustainability strategy and tracking relevant metrics. Prior to WestRock, Doug worked at MeadWestvaco, first as Lead Sustainability Specialist, supporting global sustainability strategy, and then as Stewardship and Sustainability Analyst, where Doug created the annual Corporate Responsibility Report. Educational credentials include a BA in Political Science and History from Virginia Tech and an MBA in International Business and Marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University.
