Avery Smothermon

Avery Smothermon has gained diverse work experience in various engineering and sustainability roles. Recently, they worked as a Renewables Site Design Engineer at Westwood Professional Services starting from April 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Stormwater Engineer at Cardinal Strategies from July 2022 to March 2023. Additionally, Avery worked as a Sustainability Intern at TBG Partners between May 2021 and July 2022. Earlier in their career, they were a Student Staff at SMU RLSH Office at Southern Methodist University from February 2020 to May 2021. They also gained experience as a Geotechnical Engineer Summer Intern at Bryant Consultants, Inc. from May 2020 to July 2020, and as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Matrix HVAC from June 2019 to August 2019.

Avery Smothermon attended Southern Methodist University from 2018 to 2022, where they studied Environmental Engineering and French Studies. They did not obtain a degree in either field. Additionally, Avery obtained a Master of Arts (MA) in Sustainable Development from Southern Methodist University, although the start and end years for this degree are not specified. Avery also holds a certification in EPA Section 608 from the US Environmental Protection Agency, which was obtained in August 2019.
