Daniel Safford, E.I.T., C.F.M. has a diverse range of work experience. Daniel started their career as a Forest Ecology Technician at the University of Montana, where they collected data from the Angora Fire in South Lake Tahoe. Daniel later worked as a Forest Ecology Technician at UC Davis, collecting field data in various national forests to study post-fire species regeneration.

Daniel also worked as a Student Engineering Intern at the Bureau of Reclamation, where they gained experience in engineering. Daniel then joined the University of Nevada, Reno as a Laboratory Assistant, focusing on optimizing contaminant removal using ozone-GAC columns and conducting water-quality analysis lab testing.

In 2015, Daniel worked as a Food Science Laboratory Assistant at Product Solutions Research Inc., where they contributed to the research and development of food and beverage products. Daniel also worked as a Math Tutor during their college years.

Most recently, Daniel worked as a Water Resources Graduate Engineer II at Westwood Professional Services. In this role, they were involved in drainage design for residential, commercial, and roadway projects. Daniel also wrote technical reports, created construction drawings, and developed hydrologic/hydraulic models.

Daniel obtained a Bachelor of Engineering - BE degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering at Sacramento City College from 2014 to 2017.
