Pat Zacharie

Pat Zacharie is the Vice President, General Counsel at Westwood Professional Services. Pat has held this position since May of 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President, Legal and Regulatory Affairs at Ambit Energy from January of 2011 to May of 2020. Ambit Energy is a retail energy company which provides gas and electricity services in deregulated energy markets throughout the United States, Canada and Japan.

Pat Zacharie has extensive experience in the legal and regulatory field. Pat served as the company's first General Counsel at Ambit Energy. In this role, they established and led the Legal & Regulatory department. Pat was responsible for managing the day-to-day legal and regulatory functions of the company, domestically and abroad. During their time at Ambit Energy, they proactively identified and mitigated legal risks to protect the company from undue legal exposure, liability and significant financial loss. Pat also facilitated the achievement of strategic and operations objectives through partnership with the Executive Team and management during the company’s rapid revenue growth from millions to over $1.2 billion in revenue.

Prior to their role at Ambit Energy, Zacharie served as Regulatory Counsel at VarTec Telecom from March of 2001 to June of 2005. In this role, they were responsible for providing legal and regulatory advice to the company.

Pat Zacharie received a JD from SMU Dedman School of Law and a BA in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin.
