Paul Waihura Mbatia

Paul Waihura Mbatia has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. Paul Waihura currently works at Wetlands International as the Partnerships Manager Europe, where they focus on mobilizing resources and strengthening funding relationships with European based development donors. Prior to this, they were employed at SeeYou Foundation, where they held various positions including Business Development and Donor Compliance Manager, and Business Development Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for coordinating responses to global calls for proposals, identifying and advancing new business opportunities, and managing project financing mechanisms. Paul also co-founded Lima Connect BV, a digital solutions company that assists farmers cooperatives with digitizing their delivery records. Additionally, they have worked as an Institutional Fundraising Manager at LIGHT FOR THE WORLD The Netherlands, an Independent Consultant, and a Project Coordinator at Saint Martin CSA. Throughout their career, Paul has demonstrated expertise in partnership development, fundraising, project management, and research.

Paul Waihura Mbatia's education history begins in 2000, when they attended Egerton University and earned a Bachelor of Education degree in Education (arts) in 2004. In 2009, they pursued a Master of Science degree in International Development Studies at the University of Amsterdam, which they completed in 2010.
