Katie Zellhoefer has worked in the travel industry for over 9 years. Katie began their career in 2012 at bamba as a Product Development Account Manager and B2C Sales & Operations. In this role, they were a key product account manager for Kilroy and STA Travel, building relationships and negotiating prices with vendors in Latin America, North America, SE Asia, and Oceania. Katie also managed a team of 10 people in sales, operations and customer support, responding to and delegating travel agent and direct sales inquiries. In 2018, they were promoted to Head of Online Experiences and Social Impact Lead at bamba. In this role, they sourced, hired, trained and managed a team of 20 guides to work as online experience hosts. Katie also provided valuable feedback for the creation of Amazon Explore and achieved preferred supplier status. Additionally, they created new online tour experiences and generated content for multiple online tour platforms. Katie also advocated for the implementation of responsible, sustainable and eco-friendly tour operators, and created a charitable program to support Peruvian porters with FutbolforKids.org. Currently, Katie is a Sales Manager at WeTravel.
