Film/video Artist Award Recipient 2022-24 at Wexner Center for the Arts

Ruun N. is a distinguished film and video artist recognized as a Film/Video Artist Award Recipient at the Wexner Center for the Arts from July 2022 to 2024. Ruun co-founded NO EVIL EYE CINEMA, serving as curator and educator, and has co-designed FILM FUTURA, a decolonial film school that has educated over 400 students internationally. As a member of Brown Girls Doc Mafia, Ruun contributes to advancing visibility in the film industry. In 2022, participation in The Africa Institute's Tejumola Olaniyan Creative Writers-in-Residence Fellowship highlighted Ruun's dedication to African literature and critical theory. Prior roles include founding and serving as Editor-in-Chief of SVLLY(wood) Magazine and serving as Director of Development for Ohio Film Group. Ruun's early experience includes an internship at IM Global Film, providing valuable administrative support in international film sales. Education was completed at The Ohio State University.
