Craig Forbes

Craig Forbes has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Craig began their career at North Carolina State University in 1991 as an Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist. Craig then moved on to New South Wood Preserving, LLC in 1997, where they eventually held the position of Vice President until 2006. In 2006, they joined Weyerhaeuser as a Sales Manager for Southern Pine Lumber, a role they held until 2011. Craig then transitioned to the position of National Program Director for Softwood Lumber until 2020. In February 2020, they briefly served as the Timberlands Region Marketing Manager for the Atlantic Region at Weyerhaeuser before becoming the Sales Director for Lumber. Craig currently holds the position of Director of Commodity Pricing and Risk Management at Weyerhaeuser, starting in June 2022.

Craig Forbes received their BS in Wood Science and Technology from North Carolina State University from 1982 to 1987. Craig then pursued their MS / PhD in Forest Products Marketing at Virginia Tech from 1991 to 1994.
