Paul Stamnes

Paul Stamnes has an extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Paul started their career as a Tax Consultant at Deloitte & Touche in 1991. Paul then worked as a Partner and Associate at Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt from 1996 to 1999. After that, they joined Intel Capital and served as a European Tax Manager and later as a Senior Attorney until 2001. Paul worked briefly as Of Counsel at Perkins Coie LLP before moving to AT&T Wireless, where they served as a Senior Tax Counsel from 2002 to 2004. Stamnes then joined Plum Creek Timber Company, where they held various roles including Director of Tax Planning and Operations, Senior Director of Tax, and Vice President of Tax from 2004 to 2016. Paul currently serves as the Vice President of Tax at Weyerhaeuser Company. Additionally, Stamnes has also served as an Advisory Board Member at Seattle Rep since 2016.

Paul Stamnes earned a BA in Asia Studies, Accounting, and Japanese from the University of Puget Sound between 1984 and 1988. From 1988 to 1991, they attended Lewis & Clark Law School and obtained their JD. Paul later pursued an LL.M. in Taxation at Georgetown University Law Center from 1993 to 1994, graduating with distinction.
