Pavol Cobirka

Pavol Cobirka has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Pavol is currently the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Whalebone, where they oversee commercial operations. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Global Channel Sales at the same company.

Before joining Whalebone, Pavol worked at PEKAT VISION as a Sales Director and co-founder. In this role, they played a key role in transforming the company from a local player to an industry leader with a global presence. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Pavol successfully built a global sales operation and expanded the company's customer base.

Pavol also has experience working at Photoneo, where they held the positions of Global Partner Manager and Director of Sales - Europe & CIS. Pavol joined the company with the mission to improve their sales strategies and help them compete with larger industry leaders.

Prior to their roles at Photoneo, Pavol worked at Technoklima s.r.o. as an International Sales Manager. Here, they represented Italian manufacturers in various countries and developed strong commercial relationships.

Pavol also has experience working in the public sector, serving as an Advisor at the Foreign Trade Section under SARIO, part of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic. In this role, they provided guidance on foreign trade activities and contributed to the development of Slovakia's national investment and foreign trade strategy.

Pavol started their career at the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency as a Project Manager, where they supported Slovak companies with export growth and managed investment projects from the CIS region.

Additionally, they worked as a Project Manager at Eastern Market, representing European companies in Russia and overseeing projects in the energy and agriculture sectors.

Pavol's work experience is complemented by an internship and sales management role at AIESEC.

Pavol Cobirka completed their Bachelor's degree in European Cultural Studies at Univerzita Mateja Bela v Banskej Bystrici from 2007 to 2010. Pavol then pursued an internship in International Relations and Diplomacy at Latvijas Kultūras akadēmija / Latvian Academy of Culture in 2009. Afterward, they earned a Master's degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Univerzita Komenského v Bratislave from 2010 to 2012.
