Peter Jones

Peter Jones has over 20 years of work experience. Peter started their career as a Software Engineer at pen!etics development inc in 1998. Peter then worked as a Consultant at WEBink Computer Consultants before joining Versata, where they held various roles including Senior Consultant, Support Engineer, Lead Support Engineer, and Escalations Lead Engineer. In 2006, they became a Customer Relations Manager at Cluster File Systems. From 2007 to 2010, they served as the Service Manager for the Lustre group at Sun Microsystems. In 2010, they joined Oracle Corporation as an Engineering Manager for Lustre. In 2011, they worked as a Support and Releases Manager at Whamcloud, Inc before transitioning to Intel Corporation in 2012. At Intel, they held multiple positions including Lustre Support and Releases Manager, Manager of Lustre Engineering, and finally Director of Lustre Engineering. Peter left Intel in 2018 and joined OpenSFS as the Co-Lead of the Lustre Working Group. Peter Jones is currently working as the Director of Engineering at Whamcloud, Inc.

Peter Jones attended The University of Manchester from 1988 to 1991. Peter obtained a 2.1 degree in Mathematics during their time there.
