VP Of Marketing at Wharton Asia Exchange

Cindy Qianyao Zhu has a diverse range of work experience. Cindy Qianyao founded a program called Fresh and Healthy where they investigated the impact of mercury-contaminated fish consumption and built a website with a fish consumption calculator. At Wharton Asia Exchange, they served as the VP of Marketing, creating engaging content and maintaining the club's website. Cindy Qianyao also worked as an Event Coordinator for the Society of Women Engineers, organizing professional events and promoting mental wellness among students. As the Operations and Volunteering Coordinator for the Penn Wharton China Summit, they planned and promoted the summit while collaborating with faculty. Additionally, they served as the Internal Chair for Penn Figure Skating, promoted the organization, and planned off-ice social events. Cindy also held roles as the Communications Director for the Admissions Dean's Advisory Board, a Member of the Assembly of International Students at Penn, and a Member of Engineers Without Borders USA. Currently, they are working as a VP of Events at the Dell Women's Entrepreneur Network at Penn. In the future, they will be a STEP Intern at Google, where they contributed to improving the performance of an internal system, maintained and enhanced the system, and facilitated inclusive communities and mentorship programs.

Cindy Qianyao Zhu began their education in 2019 at Shenzhen Middle School, where they earned their High School Diploma in 2022. Following their graduation, from 2022 to 2026, Cindy pursued concurrent degrees at The Wharton School and the University of Pennsylvania. At The Wharton School, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a specialization in Finance and Operations Management. Simultaneously, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) from the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on Computer and Information Sciences.
